Chassis

The main component for our CabinBike chassis is the frame from a Suzuki TL1000

The TL frame is attached to the firewall and remains completely intact. Shown here with a spare ‘mock-up’ frame during prototyping.

The motorcycle “bolts-in” and is primarily attached at the head tube, seat mounts, and foot peg mounts.

The aluminum chassis components are welded with a ‘spool gun’ attached to a MIG welder using aluminum wire.

This assembly is the “Side brace bracket”. It is one of 2 brackets that attach to each side of the bike. Left shown.

The side brace bracket bolts on to the TL 1000R frame at two points, the location where the seat attaches and the location where the rear sub frame brace attaches.

(2) tubes .50 in. OD, .40 in. ID x 1.94 in. long. Install one spacer tube and one 3/8 x 3.5 in. bolt on each side in the ‘seat bolt’ location.
